According to the statistics released by the Bureau of Statistics, the production of major industries has increased by 5.15% on an annual basis from July to September.
According to the data, the output of major industries grew by 1.19 per cent year-on-year in September, down from 0.72 per cent in August.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, textile production grew by 0.80% year-on-year in July-September, while food, beverage and tobacco production grew by 3.39%.
Similarly, production of pharmaceutical sector increased by 11.53 per cent, chemical sector by 4.70 per cent, automobile sector by 42.64 per cent and production of iron and steel products by 13.77 per cent.
According to the statistics, production of leather products increased by 13.94%, production of engineering products by 3.17% and production of wood products by 4.44%.
Production of coke and petroleum products increased by 4.75% and production of paper and board increased by 13.12%.
On the other hand, the sectors whose production has declined include fertilizers and electronics.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, fertilizer production fell by 2.66 per cent and electronics sector by 4.51 per cent in July-September.
