Pakistan’s trade with Uzbekistan has started through Torkham border. The first consignment of four trucks reached Pakistan through Torkham border. The trade adviser says a new era has begun for trade promotion in the region.
The first consignment of trucks from Uzbekistan arrived in Pakistan, according to a Commerce Ministry statement. National Security Advisor Moeed Youssef and Trade Adviser Abdul Razzaq Daud welcomed the shipment.
Lieutenant General Makhmudov from Uzbekistan, IGFC and other officials were also present on the occasion.
The trade adviser said in a statement that it was a historic day when regular trade was resumed after a year of hard work, with two Pakistani and two Uzbek trucks arriving in Pakistan carrying goods.
