Earlier, Umar Akmal had the record for the fastest half-century by Pakistan.
Umar Akmal scored a half-century off 21 balls against Australia at Egbiston.
It should be noted that Shoaib Malik has twice scored a half-century off 23 balls in T20 Internationals.
He first performed against Scotland in 2017 and the second time against Sri Lanka in 2018.
